Botanists apply for jobs at Universities, Fish and Wildlife Service, Nature Preserves Commission of the state, Forestry Department, Army Corps of Engineers, Natural History Museums, and different Environmental consulting firms. Florists work in flower shops. As far as what a botanist does all day...that depends on where they work. They could spend alot of time out in the field collecting or researching, or they could spend alot of time making maps and writing reports.

Botanist is another name for a plant grower, resaercher and caretaker so they apply for jobs at a plant shop, or where the research is undertaken which is at a University or Botanists school
