Palms have no branches. It is a Monocotyledonous tree that is branchless. If you cut a palm tree the remaining part dies away.Whereas a Dicotyledonous tree like spruce is pruned, the remaining part produces numerous branches and the tree continues to grow.

What is called FROND is the complete leaf of a palm.As a rule these leaves are large and compound hence look like branches.
