Why are there no mushrooms growing in the cowfield near my house?

I live in florida. I looked and I looked but I couldn't find any mushrooms.

since mushrooms need the fungi produced by decomposing wood or roots, it's easy to understand why you don't see any in the pasture, no doubt it's been quite some time since trees or heavy vegetation have been there.

Probably because there are no spores for mushrooms do grow from. Try injecting some spores into the ground or something. Also make sure the soil is very moist and there's cow **** on the soil (cow **** acts as a fertilizer).

Some farmers use anti-fungal agents in their feed to prevent some mushroom species from growing. Try another field.
